There’s many different perspectives in society about how to view this situation.
A GP advised me to make sense of this by the numbers. He also had the perspective to remove politics from the judgement and make a medical based decision.
I question removing politics when weighing up the situation because politics is the driving force in the processes and decisions being made. To remove an intrinsic piece of the situation and then view and assess it without that factor, can only serve to skew the conclusion by removing key information.
This is medical and political regardless of how we want it to be.
Rather that focusing in close on this problem, consider zooming out to get the big picture. This situation cannot be accurately assessed in simple terms or by viewing just a small piece of the puzzle at a time. Consider not just taking one angle but viewing all angles and all information.
Now is not the time to jump to conclusions or gloss over information.
The choices you make have consequences. Your doctor is not responsible for your health and neither is your government. In fact they have indemnified themselves against responsibility and liability.
It’s your body, your health and your decision. There is a big picture, but to understand it you have to look.
